This exhibition catalog presents over forty works — sculptures, paintings, photographs, and immersive installations — born from a unique encounter between contemporary art and archaeological research. Invited directly to ESAG’s excavation at Amarynthos, Euboea, nine artists from Switzerland and Greece drew inspiration from the site, the finds, and the figure of Artemis. Exhibited in Athens and Chalkis in spring 2026, the works offer a fresh and powerful look at Antiquity and the living world of archaeology.

Ce catalogue d’exposition présente plus de quarante œuvres — sculptures, peintures, photographies et installations immersives — nées d’une rencontre unique entre art contemporain et recherche archéologique. Invités directement sur le chantier de fouilles de l’ESAG à Amarynthos, en Eubée, neuf artistes de Suisse et de Grèce ont puisé leur inspiration dans le site, les découvertes et la figure d’Artémis. Exposées à Athènes et à Chalcis au printemps 2026, les œuvres offrent un regard neuf et saisissant sur l’Antiquité et le monde vivant de l’archéologie.

Αυτός ο κατάλογος έκθεσης παρουσιάζει περισσότερα από σαράντα έργα — γλυπτά, ζωγραφικές, φωτογραφίες και εμβυθιστικές εγκαταστάσεις — που γεννήθηκαν από μια μοναδική συνάντηση μεταξύ σύγχρονης τέχνης και αρχαιολογικής έρευνας. Εννέα καλλιτέχνες από την Ελβετία και την Ελλάδα, προσκεκλημένοι απευθείας στην ανασκαφή της ESAG στην Αμάρυνθο της Εύβοιας, άντλησαν έμπνευση από τον χώρο, τα ευρήματα και τη μορφή της Αρτέμιδος. Εκτεθειμένα στην Αθήνα και στη Χαλκίδα την άνοιξη του 2026, τα έργα προσφέρουν μια φρέσκια και δυναμική ματιά στην Αρχαιότητα και τον ζωντανό κόσμο της αρχαιολογίας.

Dieser Ausstellungskatalog präsentiert über vierzig Werke — Skulpturen, Gemälde, Fotografien und immersive Installationen — die aus einer einzigartigen Begegnung zwischen zeitgenössischer Kunst und archäologischer Forschung entstanden sind. Neun Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus der Schweiz und Griechenland, direkt zur ESAG-Ausgrabung in Amarynthos auf Euböa eingeladen, schöpften ihre Inspiration aus dem Gelände, den Funden und der Gestalt der Artemis. Die im Frühjahr 2026 in Athen und Chalkis ausgestellten Werke bieten einen frischen und eindrücklichen Blick auf die Antike und die lebendige Welt der Archäologie.
