Open Meeting 2021 postponed
Due the outspread of coronavirus / SARS-CoV-2, the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece regrets to announce that the annual open meeting and lecture scheduled for March 11th will be postponed. Switzerland is, as Greece, directly affected by the outbreak. The Federal Council has issued the suspension of large public gatherings and restrictions on international travelling, also in relation to universities. A new date for the event will be announced as soon as possible.

Speakers: SE Olaf Kjelsen (Swiss ambassador), Karl Reber (director of the Swiss School) and Sylvian Fachard (Professor of Classical archaeology at Lausanne and upcoming director of the Swiss School).

The fieldwork of the Swiss School in 2019 and 2020
Karl Reber, director of the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece, will present the School’s fieldwork in 2019 and 2020:
- Amarynthos (Euboea): excavations in the Artemision
- Eretria (Euboea): excavations in the Gymnasium
- Kiladha (Argolid): underwater survey near Franchthi cave
- Ilkizes (Euboea): fieldwork at the “dragon house”
