Pottery is crucial for dating the archaeological discoveries. In this book, the author studies the various categories of Hellenistic ceramic discovered in the so-called West Quarter of Eretria: black varnished, grey dough, pergamian, samian, West Slope, megarian bowls, amphoras, unguentaria and lamps. She also addresses the issues of palmettes, graffiti and stamps. She finally discusses the origin and evolution of the categories of Hellenistic pottery in Eretria.
